One of the strangest jobs I ever worked was for an antiques shop that contracted with the Archdiocese of Philadelphia to take any pieces "not of Catholic identity," during a church closing.
Super awkward to talk to nice old ladies mourning their church like "So sorry your spiritual home is closing. Say, that's a really nice dresser."
