Given the president-elect's stated intention to abuse the DoJ's power of investigation and prosecution to retaliate against and intimidate political enemies, I understand why he pardoned his son, even if I also find it problematic. But he really needs to extend the same protection to the many others who are likely to find themselves unfairly in the future administration's very powerful crosshairs.
