@nopatience FWIW, I'm read-only on Bluesky. Much like @pluralistic, after Twitter, I'm never again investing my time in a platform subject to the whim of a billionaire. It's only a matter of time before the #enshittification of Bluesky ensues, once the VCs start demanding to extract returns on their speculation.
Or as Cory put it, "I will never again devote my energies to building up an audience on a platform whose management can sever my relationship to that audience at will."

That's why I wanted to start with some numbers surrounding the "issue" of people leaving for BSky.
I had some vague idea of doing a follow-up with a more in-depth understanding of the reasons behind alleged migration.
@nopatience Yeah, a lot of them haven't learned the lesson yet. That's why I put up with Bluesky and use it as a de-facto RSS feed which just happens to be incompatible with the rest of my RSS feeds. I still need to keep up with the industry, but I won't be posting there. I deleted thousands of hours worth of writing from Twitter. Lesson learned.
