any of you try open nebula? I just found out about it today.

How does it compare to proxmox? I mean, accord to the docs, it can be used locally or to mange cloud shit, but I guess I'm talking about how does it compare running a local KVM instance, etc.

@da_667 i would love it if there was a verison of proxmox, or something with feature parity, that i could install on an ubuntu server and not have to format the thing

@Viss allegedly thats what this is. You can drop an installer script that does all the nasty shit in the background and either get a web front end that can manage cloud resources, or one that also installs KVM in addition to the web front-end. Strangely enough, you can't do both with the same install.
