Every president has pardoned friends and cronies and donors. This is really nothing all that different besides the fact that Hunter Biden is Joe's family.

And different in that no other person with a similar mo has been prosecuted to the same level.
If Hunter Biden had not been related to Joe Biden, his plea deal would have been accepted without any problem, and he would not have been prosecuted for a gun that had no shot fired with and that was only in his possession for a few weeks.

@paulschoe Yeah, it's a pretty classic case of even what the constitutional pardon privilege was designed for - an executive check on judicial overreach or corruption.
